THE MOST HOLY TRINITY BATH
A BRIEF HISTORY 2003 Dedication In Memory of the Revd. Canon Geoffrey Stephen Northcott Foreward by Fr. Graham Oakes - Rector of Bath: Holy Trinity As the church of Holy Trinity Bath celebrates fifty years in the present building we have much cause to thank God for all His mercies. This brief history provides us with a flavour of the life and ethos of Holy Trinity before and after the destruction of the original building in 1942. It demonstrates the determination of the priests and people to establish and maintain a catholic faith and practice as understood by the Church of England. It shows too that Holy Trinity has sought to serve the less fortunate members of society. Our glorious past provides a foundation for the future. We ask your prayers for the continuation of Holy Trinity as a centre of catholic worship and service in the City of Bath. This history was to have been researched and written by Fr. Geoffrey Northcott. Following his death in October 2002, others decided to take on the work, which is now dedicated to him in thankfulness for his ministry and service at Holy Trinity. I thank Mary Barry, Fred Bovett, Tony Edwards, Janet Freeman and Edna Ladbury and all who have helped them in the production of this history.
